I consider street art extremely interesting. This was taken on U Street

Teaching is my interest and my kids inspire me! I edited this photo using Instagram.

What Photographs Inspire Me!

I love the colors in this photo!

I find trees to be so beautiful and I was drawn to the tree in the center. I also like when photos have reflections in them.

I chose this picture because I liked how the elephants were not the main focus of the picture and the power of the colors.

I took this photo with Instagram! It is a purse given to me from a professor from Japan. I like how simple yet powerful the image came across. The filter made the purse colors stand out.

I took this photo with Instagram on a hot summer day. Black and white images have always been a favorite of mine. I like photos of everyday things and seeing the beauty in them.

Why I am taking this class..

The honest reason for taking this class is to fulfill my art requirement. But why cellphone photography? Well, I don't consider myself very artistic. In fact, I often joke I am in early education because my art is on their level. When looking at courses this one caught my eye right away. I thought, "I have a cellphone and I can use Instagram!" To me cellphone photography is a more accessible art form than painting or sculpting. It is an art I feel I can apply to my everyday life and hopefully finally say, "Hey look at me I am artistic!"
